At SuzakuKan Dojo, we are dedicated to teaching the art of Traditional Shotokan Karate to students of all ages and skill levels. You can be 6 or 60 years old to start Karate.  Let's train with us to find the best version of yourself!

We are a new, small dojo located in Taylorsville Kentucky. 

The owner and the instructor of this little dojo is a female Karate practitioner

with fourth degree black belt from Shotokan Karate.

We are proud of our little but sophisticated dojo. 

First month is free for anyone, so just come and train with us to

see where Karate training takes you!

Confidence and calmness

 Karate is a conversation between your mind and body.  Once you know what you are capable of, it will bring confidence to your mind.

Basics and foundation

In Karate training, speed and power are synonymous. Your journey to find your strength starts at your first training. Mastering of basics is the core of our dojo.

Suzaku Kan dojo is a satellite dojo to Doshinkai Dojo in Cincinnati Ohio. Both of us are members ofShotokan Karate-Do International Federation. (SKIF)

What are the class schedules?

Monday Wednesday  Thursday

Youth Class 5:30pm-6:30pm. Adult Class 6:45pm-8:00pm. 

Saturday(All ages)

9:30am-11:00am.

Do you offer private lessons?
Yes, we offer private lessons for students looking for personalized instruction.

Is there a uniform requirement?

You can take classes with regular clothing as long as they are comfortable and stretchy.  Please be ready to be barefoot. Dojo has some inventory of Karate-Gis for both youth and adults. 

Payment

First month is free for anyone. 

Try as many classes as you want before

becoming an official member. 

  • Monthly $80.00/month.
  • Weekly  $25.00/week.
  • Anual SKIF Membership fee-- $15.00/year (Green belt and above only)
